Hired Hand
Traditionally, this Belgian style farmhouse ale was brewed in the winter to be enjoyed in the summer. Well, us revolutionaries pay little heed to such silly traditions. We brew our Saison year round because, frankly, we don't want to wait so long for such a delicious beer. Hired Hand perfectly blends malty and sour notes, with a refreshing dry finish. Enjoyed by laborers and leaders alike.
Renegade Blonde
The number one obstacle for blondes wishing to go rouge is figuring out which side they're currently on. I suppose our Renegade Blonde is no exception. It's an ale. Believe me I checked... But when it's young, it has a crisp, malty flavor with a refreshingly bitter finish, not unlike a lager. With age, it develops a mild, fruity character, like an ale.
Spice of Life
Variety is the spice of life. Every once-in-a-while, you've gotta mix things up. Our catalyst for such an excursion out of the ordinary is, um, actually spice. Spice of Life uses traditional brewing spices in a way few dare to. Forsaking traditional ideas of subtlety and cowardly "Pinch of This, Pinch of That" brewing techniques, we embrace the flavors and launch them into a full frontal assault of delicious bitter orange peel and grains of paradise. Beautifully smooth coriander compliments and orange peel perfectly.
Golden Age
Helping us usher in the new golden age for the beer rebel (fittingly enough) is Golden Age. Nothing quenches the thirst of today's active dissenter better than this citrusy tasting concoction. The mesmerizing march of perfect champagne-like bubbles to the foam front draws you in. Hints of lemon, grape, and apple keep you coming back for more.
Dubbel Fisted
When starting an uprising, two is always better than one. Or so I've been told. And after you try Dubbel Fisted, you'll find out the reason for its namesake. While peering into a glass of the deep amber colored brew you're holding in your drinking hand, you'll realize that you probably want one in your open hand too. Rich chocolate, caramel, and plum notes are almost too tempting for words.
Dark Days
As dark as the name implies, Dark Days is an extremely dark Imperial Stout. This beer is so dark, not even light can escape its cold, frothy embrace. And it's probably the reason why so many people are caught off guard by how smooth and velvety it is. So it's no surprise that it has the uncanny ability to turn even the most devout light beer drinker to the dark side. And we don't believe it's enough just to brew the stuff, so we age it in brandy barrels until it reaches the maxim of flavor and smoothness. Chocolate and coffee notes dominate the flavor with a haunting chocolaty aftertaste.
The Resistance
And now for a bit of irony. Most brewers fight a never-ending battle to keep all those mysterious little microorganisms that might add what they consider to be "off" flavors out of their beer. Well, being the defiant types, we decided not to resist this so-called "wild" yeast, instead bending it to our will to create The Resistance. And since enough is never enough, we also decided to age it in oak white wine barrels. Most people go their entire lives without even laying eyes on such an interesting, unique, and amazingly delicious beer. And you happen to be holding such a beer in your hand right now. Do the math.
Velvet Glove
You know the expression, "A Velvet Glove and an Iron Fist"? It was coined to refer to a regime that used a soft exterior to hide its punishingly unforgiving nature. This seems an apt description for our Velvet Glove. Its placid appearance and unparalleled smoothness hide the truth; this is one fiendishly strong stout. Rich, chocolaty espresso dominates the flavor profile, with a velvety smooth texture that will haunt your senses.
The Gauntlet
THAT'S IT! We're throwing down the gauntlet. Literally. If you haven't tried craft brewed beer before, put the bottle you're currently holding down and start somewhere else. This is not a good place to start. The Gauntlet is one seriously intense beer that should be reserved for only the boldest beer revolutionaries in the world. The inordinate amount of hop flavor and aroma that radiates from this creamy, froth covered liquid is enough to make this Brewmaster blush. If that sounds good to you, you can safely break your time on this earth down into 2 categories; the time before you tried The Gauntlet, and the time after. If not, the $5.00 50 packs are on the left. Off Hand
Being beer revolutionaries and all, we are often forced to think on our feet. From just such a spur-of-the-moment decision comes, fittingly enough, Off Hand. Brewed with copious amounts of imported Belgian malts, these give it a distinctive dry, toasted character that is reminiscent of the fresh confections Grandma used to make when we were just pint-sized dissenters. A nice spiciness and dry finish make this beer truly great.
